There will be a roundup of about six trucks, plus a special Street Food Marketplace!

As a preview, we just signed up the wonderful Mama Cass truck, offering Gourmet Vietnamese Sliders. You know you want some.

We’ll be announcing the full lineup of trucks and restaurants by the end of the month. Tickets are going on sale soon for Taste of Potrero 2012. May 10, 6-10pm. SOMArts – 934 Brannan.

We’re so glad these superstars will all be back to show off their amazing culinary talents and to support public education.

More restaurant announcements to come. We expect to have about 15 restaurants and 6 food trucks to announce within the next couple of weeks. You are sure to be amazed at the quality of talent represented.

This year, it’s getting even better. We’re moving diggs to the spectacular SOMArts space at 943 Brannan. The space isn’t just bigger to accommodate a larger event, but it maintains the intimacy and flow that we loved at Dogpatch Studios. Moreover, we’ve got a lot of outdoor space. And these days, in San Francisco, that means just one thing – - Food Trucks! We’re taking it to the streets, with a corral of the hottest eats on wheels.

THE tumult over state budgets and collective bargaining rights for public employees has spilled over into resentment toward public school teachers, who are increasingly derided as “glorified baby sitters” whose pay exceeds the value of the work they do.

But how exactly do we measure the value of a teacher?
